Hand Dyed Bottle Brush Tree with beaded fabric
I have been tinting bottle brush trees for years, and never tire of the transformations. After mixing the coloring and hand dying, I add a sparkle of mica flakes or glitter.
The ornaments I use to decorate the trees are from my stash of vintagey goodness, tiny shiny brites or beads cut from glass garlands. All of the papers I use are old too, mostly from Christmas cards of the past and holiday sheet music.
My bottles are also vintage, collected all year from flea markets to save up to make tree stands at Christmas.
This tree stands 8" tall its neck is wrapped in velvet ribbon and netting, and a piece of old beaded fabric with rhinestones cut from a very old dress graces its front. That is accented with a small portrait suspended in epoxy. The white tree is sugar coated in copper glitter.
